I've always felt that the most prominent buttons should :marseynorm: be the most important/useful. I can't see a good reason for these buttons to be absolutely huge, especially compared to the up/down votes. It might make more sense to consider :marseyhyperthonk: proper icons.

I use the [alt-backarrow] and [alt-forwardarrow] shortcut to navigate and the [backarrow] shortcut overrides that and sends me to some random post

I like the buttons and keyboard navigation. Is the bottom of the post the right place though? It ends up being in the middle of the page. I feel like top/bottom/both would make more sense. Bottom is best, IMO. You read the OP, you read the comments, you click next
