Today I found out that when someone applies for a security clearance and requests a hearing after an initial denial a document gets posted online with juicy deets

Working on IT stuff in various overseas locations. Soliciting a prostitute, marrying a foreign stripper, some debt, and being evasive about this stuff:

This guy watched a buddy in the airforce overdose on "cocaine" and lied about it. Guy was previously discharged from the airforce for hard drugs:

This 23 year old was working as an IT manager but seems to have been moonlighting. He had a criminal record in his youth and was busted with marijuana and illegal firearms:

Married manager is an alcoholic. An interesting vignette but nothing unheard of. Beverage consumption quantities in document seem unreasonably low. Goes to AA and gets clearance:

Boomer making $168K can't be bothered to pay taxes or bills:

I'll give credit to the reddit post I found this site from. Apparently one of Kim Jong Un's relatives who has fled to the US is working in defense:

Veteran aircraft mechanic has secret wife in Peru:

"[M]y use of recreational drugs on my personal time in no way reflects upon my trustworthiness as a keeper of national secrets. I do not plan to change my lifestyle because that would be absurd, and directly contradictory to the first sentence of this statement. If the DOD wants a dog who has no personal principles, they can find one elsewhere.":

There are many more of these and a decent fraction are worth the read. Most common thing in these is debt. Sometimes it's sympathetic but sometimes its hardcore trailer park vibes.

This is a goldmine. If you guys upvote some jannies bickering or shitty drawings over this I will lose any respect I had for this site.

At the time Applicant submitted his SCA, he had served on active duty in the Marine Corps for almost four years. He was a college graduate. He went through the security-clearance process in 2012 and 2020, and he knew that marijuana use violated federal law and was an impediment to obtaining a security clearance. His experience with the marijuana edibles was unpleasant, resulting in a panic attack of sufficient severity to cause him to stop using them. I conclude that the allegation in SOR ΒΆ 1.a is established, and the evidence is sufficient to establish the disqualifying condition in AG ΒΆ 16(a).

!veterans remember to lie about being a filthy treacherous marijuana "experiencer" when applying for security clearance, just save it for your autobiography or rdrama like the smart guys do. For real though we need that clearance to really get /h/spooky off the ground with a booster of classified thetans.

Wow. That's against the Marine Corps Values.

A Marine never lies, cheats, or steals.

Seriously, though. They give more gravity to shit after you've already had a clearance.

They miss the fact that the knucklehead who was truthful is probably better suited than the majority who just lie. Or maybe not. "Admit nothing, deny everything, make counter accusations" is the second Marine Corps motto.

This tbh. I was once interviewed by a few of these weird fricking feds as a personal reference for a friend of mine in the USAF who got optimus prime clearance. To call them dry or human would be an exaggeration.

I got interviewed for a friend, but this guy had multiple scams he ran, got arrested at 19 for stealing meat and liquor, and was a megaweeb who cheated on his girlfriend all the time and had a collection of butt plugs and dog leashes he'd make girls wear :#marseydarkxd:

was it for a TS? They now don't care (usually) as long as it was far enough back and you are honest.
