Covering for a friend remotely and patient on plavix is mad that I ordered recommended they go to the ER. I'm about 1100 miles away and I don't even know what hospital they go to typically. Go to the ER, get a CT and then follow up with somebody else because I'm only doing this given my friend is sick.

You'd think the fricking larp would eventually end at some point.

I wish it was a larp at this point. Telemedicine is the fricking worst. In person takes like 30 seconds, tele I don't even know if the order went through or where the patient even lives. Doesn't help that I had a miserable meeting hours ago and I'm fairly drunk.

I would hate to be an NP. they do admin work 80% of the time and admin work sucks. Not one but PAs can at least operate as practioners under another persons license. I don't hate myself enough to even consider DNP. Not sure how every program for a DNP works but I remember them working 110 hour weeks compared to our 90-100

why would you send to the ED instead of just giving a referral for imaging
that sounds needlessly expensive

It's telemedicine. It's cheap until it requires actual treatment outside of something basic. We can order prescriptions and do nearly complete physicals but the second we need imaging it's 'Go to the ER or urgent care'
