Drama History: Almost 1 year ago today was the birth of Seasoning Mommy :marseyhmmhips: :seasoningpolicequeen: A retrospective

Just a little over 1 year ago today, Zoe Barrie aka Seasoning Mommy came into our lives and changed the face of white people food vs black pipo food forever. Since the birth of our savoury saviour, many of us who just assumed that yes... black people are indeed good cooks and know their way around a kitchen have had our eyes opened to the truth!

Here's a short history of this story and what came after:

1. How it all began:

(she deleted the original video :marseycry: but there are some funny Chud comments here)

It's funny because Burger zoomoids will always bring up Mexican food as something "wit seazonin"

--In almost every case when a ABUELITA from Mexico and living in Mexico (since chicanocels don't have the ability to say grandma) makes good food, there is absolutely no powdered seasoning involved. You put actual garlic, onion, or whatever in your food. You get whole spices and grind them in a molcajete. You don't buy "Tio Edgar's Latinx Sazoun".

Mexican food has generall a few things like garlic and onion, it isn't oversalted and over-seasoned gringxican shit like hamburger meat with 5 seasoning mixes and Worcestershire sauce, with A1 and Sriracha and Tabasco and Valentina and Hot Cheetos.

At my house, we didn't use bottled salsa (I mean we had some, but it rarely came out for dinner) because my mom (sorry, mi mama) would make fresh salsa with dried or fresh chiles and tomatillo or whatever, or salsa macha.

There's actually a Mexican food page or two and people constantly call out Chicanocels and Seasoning Americans (actually they just call them Gringos, which makes them even more mad because they think Gringo is a "white person" and not a general term for Burger) for talking about powdered seasoning, or how le "California Mexican" is better, or acting like eating Hot Cheetos is culture and shit like that.

It appears that (((someone))) convinced you that eating soy-based goyslop for 25 dollars a meal was a (((good thing)))

I value my time at 20 dollars per hour so it an element in my pricing of the landed cost of a meal per head. Simple things like pasta, tomato sauce, and beef make a hearty meal and are under that limit. I own a pasta press and can make my own, but If I did that I would need to see the benefit (like if I was tryna get laid).

I'll make my own pasta on the weekends, but during the week I'd rather just make some Barilla and call it a day. Same thing with seasonings. It's not like garlic or onion powder is unhealthy, it's just not as good, but I don't really care after 8-10 hours of pretending to work.

That's fine, not everyone has time to make everything fresh.

The issue is Internet People pretending like dumping half a pound of Zatarain's or Old Bay on some shitty meat and mixing it with 15 condiments is somehow superior to whatever anyone else eats because "lol wypipo"

How are you doing your dough? also do you salt your water before you boil the pasta?
