People on /r/modelling normally talk about contracts and work and stuff like that but I guess it's being pushed by the algorithm and now uggos and normies are flooding it with their pics asking it they have modeling potential.
I only follow it bc I was hoping for diet tips tbh. I'm too lazy to link but not to screenshot and write sassy opinions. Remember these people have invited criticism of their looks and modeling potential so I'm not being that mean

One of my friends used to date a model and we (the model and I) would sometimes talk about her work. It really does not sound like a fun job lol. I guess you get carted around by your agency to a number of castings until someone decides to use you for whatever advertisement they're making, you have almost no control over what work you'll actually do (I mean you can always say "no" but if you refuse then your agency can just drop you obv). And she was also like 10/10 gorgeous, I mean kinda crazy but very attractive, I'm sure she got better than average prospects.
One other thing I learned was that in addition to the incredible drama at model flats (where they'd keep the models during an overseas shoot/contract), they also apparently need to be reminded often to perform basic hygiene like shower daily. I guess some models actually show up to shoots smelling fricking awful, I suppose not technically terrible if they're getting photo/video taken (no smell recording) but still
