i've been thinking a lot about RYM, last.fm, and fantano. i've come to the conclusion that they have completely ruined online music discourse

this has led me to coining a term

crackercore

/ˈkrak-ər-kôr/

noun

1. A genre of music predominantly enjoyed by white audiences and heavily influenced by Anthony Fantano's music tastes and Rate Your Music charts. Crackercore almost exclusively refers to avant garde rock, experimental hip hop, and art rock.
