Every non-luxury automaker is scaling back on their EV commitments in favor of hybrids.
Meanwhile Toyota and Honda are selling hybrids by the boatloads.
Companies are already telling governments that their zero emissions targets and ICE bans are premature.
Even if every personal ICE vehicle disappeared tomorrow it'd only reduce carbon emissions by like 7%.
It's a classic case of politician passing shit in an effort to appear to be doing something.

And ev's still need plastics, lubricants and tires. No one tell the greenies where those products come from

Oh yeah, the tires. Another thing nobody tells people is how heavy EVs are, and about the tire replacement, pollution from rubber, and additional wear and tear of roads from the extra weight.

If you read Indian history this is very weird, Indus Valley area always supported a large population(larger than Gangetic area till well into the CEs probably) and Punjab controlled access to Central Asia trade most crucially horses which were very sought after in all Indian armies. But there never was an empire coming out of that region that conquered the lands to its east. They'd occasionally extend dominance over Sindh or the northern hill tracts or even Afghanistan but never to the east. Each time they were united in one polity it was the east conquering them.
