Books where the monster gets the girl?

Sometimes I'll play horror games like Phasmophobia with its frightening setting and beings stalking me through the dark. My thoughts are always “I wish this were a romance instead” and that there was passion instead of murder. 🤣

What are some great books, films or graphic novels where the horror being gets the girl? Please no bone-fingered corpse-things, sexual assault or beastmen, thank you. I'm more so interested in shadow beings, demons and shapeshifting gentleman, as long as there's a hug at the end of the night. Bonus points if the story is rather wholesome.
