Sometimes I'll play horror games like Phasmophobia with its frightening setting and beings stalking me through the dark. My thoughts are always β€œI wish this were a romance instead” and that there was passion instead of murder. 🀣

What are some great books, films or graphic novels where the horror being gets the girl? Please no bone-fingered corpse-things, sexual assault or beastmen, thank you. I'm more so interested in shadow beings, demons and shapeshifting gentleman, as long as there's a hug at the end of the night. Bonus points if the story is rather wholesome.
