I can't stop laughing at how r-slurred this post is. Hilary as a keynote speaker. Bragging about inflation. An entire night dedicated to a tribute to Bernie. AOC as a keynote speaker. Mark Cuban to vouch for millionaires. And it has upvotes lmao.

It's crazy how disconnected rank-and-file young democrats are from the nexus of power in their own party.
No one cares about the figureheads; if you're a convention attendee, you're one of the thousands of bottomfeeders trying to get a staffer job or trying to establish a relationship between your special interest and a key committee member.
Your keynote is a young and non-controversial “rising star” and the rest of your time should be spent trying to lift up the committee members whose allegiance you can ostensibly sell to the highest donor.
Everything else is a facade; no one is going to these things to be politically-inspired. Young democrats are a dime a dozen and either service as eye candy or, if a conference organizer is smart, they're positioned as nostalgia-bait so they have higher chances of success finding those entry-level staffing positions.
This is ESPECIALLY true in an uncontested convention like this one, where there are no warring factions to placate except the grouping of attendees who would love to try and leverage the IP protesters outside.
