Under $28,000 income β $24 per month
$28,000 to $69,000 income β $34 per month
$69,000 to $180,000 income β$73 per month
Over $180,000 income β $128 per month
This is on top of current utility rates.
Commiefornia Redditors in the thread explain they're happy to pay the increases while others are screaming for the heads of PG&E execs (and a few for the legislators who actually passed this lol)

PGE is absolutely killing it. A couple years ago the CEO posted to reddit sharing his massive watch collection. From the wrong account. Right after asking the government to pay for their losses due to some fires that wiped out entire cities and killed people. Because they aren't taking care of their lines (which is something consumers pay for).

It's not just one guy. PGE is raping electric vehicle and solar owners. It's absolutely outrageous. The state is dumping extra costs onto electric vehicle owners after incentivizing them. It goes on and on. The PGE tiers are ridiculous. Just because you have an electric vehicle you have to pay higher rates even if you charge in the evening. Executives are still killing it with bonuses though because why wouldn't you reward them for getting the State to pay for them burning down and blowing up cities? If you're bored look up the Paradise fire or San Bruno explosion.
In response to public backlash regarding them asking for the State to allow them to increase rates to pay for the civil suits they implemented brown and blackouts during high temperature and high wind advisories. Which the threshold was what they determined. Brilliant way to show people how cautious and reformed they are.
