Would you rather be in a car driven by a woman or a bear? :marseybearrentfree:

Bear, because statistically, women have crashed at least a thousand times more vehicles than bears, or any other carnivores for that matter. I want to live.

A bear bc apparently I'm statistically less likely to sexually assault it.

As someone who was once injured in a car accident where the women was driving, i'm entitled to speak on this matter....so id go with bear.

Silly joke, women can't drive cars.

That's funny considering most accidents are caused by men

bonus seething in the cross posted thread on r/BlatantMisogyny

:marseyreportmaxxer2: I would highly prefer if those kind of men were trapped inside a car with a bear rather than a woman.

I want to report spam or abuse

This is abusive or harassing

It threatens violence or physical harm

At me

Yesterday I discovered a huge swath of people apparently consider it rude to not pump gas for a woman, to "allow" her to drive, or to get out of the car and aid her in pumping gas (amd all three doubly so if pregnant). https://twitter.com/UsingLyft/status/1786011954391171288

I found this all extremely bizzare. I do drive more than my wife does, but I don't think of her as "so useless and helpless that she would need someone to pump her gas for her". It's usually just "whoever's driving wanted gas, so they stop and get gas".

If a moid refused to let me pump my own gas, I'd probably douse him with the next hose. :marseyflamewar: :marseyburn:

Eh, I do this with my wife. If we're together I'm driving 9 out of 10 times and if we have to get gas I always pump. It's not because she can't. It's just a gentlemanly thing to do. What used to be called chivalry

I think the gas fumes might make the baby disabled so in this case I'd probably agree with the online foids

All gas is unleaded these days. It's not gonna hurt you and scooping the litterbox won't give you Shkreli worms either, unless you gobble down the turds for some reason.

While we're at it, lead acid batteries are in your car, not your vibrator, and though 100 year old coppertops used to have mercury in them, they don't anymore (but I still wouldn't play with the acid leakage without gloves, and definitely wouldn't eat it). Old rechargeable batteries(think 2010 flipphone) were lithium ion, which most stuff has gotten away from but i think are still the main thing in EV cars, i thought had something bad in them so you have to recycle them, and new rechargeables (like AA) are all NiMH, which is way less toxic than the old NiCad.

In other words, worrying about the fumes is foid nonsense, and if you cared so much you would just bring your mask, wouldn't you?
