He probably still wouldn't get a position even if 70% of those positions weren't filled with incompetent DEIlets, his chance would be 6% instead of 2%. He's comparing himself to them and notices how much they suck, but in a fair hiring environment they wouldn't have a chance in heck either.
His real point should be how incompetent they are. But he made it very clear that this is something he would never in a thousand years dare to say out loud.
