Affirmative action in college has been such a failure for so many years. The black/white achievement gap hasn't decreased but has steadily increased over time, white and Asian kids with brilliant minds still get rejected, and the black kids with the subpar SAT scores who do get accepted in over them are destined to fail because they We have been going more and more like India, China and Japan's with academia trying to find βuniquenessβ in the sameness of a million students applying to overrated snobby liberal universities. College admissions is such a joke and this applies also to the academia hiring process.
It's all done to justify some grifter's job in the university though. Looks to be more and more reminiscent of the Jewish quotas in the thirties that barred some great minds such as Feynman from the Ivy Leagues for being Jewish.

Affirmative action shifted to being about diversifying campuses which had a hilarious effect of prioritizing the children of black immigrants over African Americans, despite black immigrants being richer than yt Americans while fricking over Chinese Americans whose families built the railroads and were forced into ghettos by the US government.

The few children of black immigrants who aren't richer than huwite Americans seem to be Somalis, who have moved to the inner-city ghettoes and have assimilated into the classic hood mentality, complete with dine n'dashing, gangbanging, speaking stereotypically ghetto, and being unemployed. Gangsta rap and crack basically destroyed the inner-city neighborhoods and the black working class you'd see in movies such as in the films of Charles Burnett (Killer of Sheep, To Sleep With Anger) in one to two generations. Ironically, Burnett's first bad film was a typical watered-down Deep Cover starring Ice Cube, fake gangster who lived in a middle-class two-parent household and notorious Jew/Asian hater, called The Glass Shield. It's not worth watching
