Think like a doctor post #something

Patient is a 14 y/o male that presents to the ER with severe breathing difficulties, severe headaches, GI issues, peripheral neuropathy including loss of movement in the left leg, general screening for IKAROS was done and deletion of the gene was positive after BCR-ABL FISH had a positive result. ETV-RUNX1 was mixed result which made the actual Dx a pain but upon review of pathology there was an obvious answer.

What was that answer?

Opioids would actually result in near immediate death. Was just a consult on this case as it's pediatric and gave a hard refusal on opioids during his treatment

Unfortunately being responsible for others results in me being the no fun police. I'd be down to just give out bowls of adderal and OxyContin and just call it a day.

Shut the frick up. Chances are you will never have to face issues related to abuse or racism (assuming you're white) and because of that it will always be something you can β€œjoke” about, because it will never seriously affect you. Maybe if you actually knew what it felt like to be secondary or othered because of your race, or if you were traumatized from domestic violence or knew someone who was, you'd know why this makes the people actually affected by that uncomfortable. This meme could trigger flashbacks and other trauma for an abuse victim and ruin their entire day, possibly their entire fricking week or even more, and they'd have to deal with that because some edgelord thought it would be a funny meme format.

Silly snappy, I doubt anybody here has had to lose a loved one to this form of cancer so they're fine. If I was an edge lord I'd give the hospice care treatment info.
