Patient is a 14 y/o male that presents to the ER with severe breathing difficulties, severe headaches, GI issues, peripheral neuropathy including loss of movement in the left leg, general screening for IKAROS was done and deletion of the gene was positive after BCR-ABL FISH had a positive result. ETV-RUNX1 was mixed result which made the actual Dx a pain but upon review of pathology there was an obvious answer.

Opioids would actually result in near immediate death. Was just a consult on this case as it's pediatric and gave a hard refusal on opioids during his treatment

Unfortunately being responsible for others results in me being the no fun police. I'd be down to just give out bowls of adderal and OxyContin and just call it a day.
