Everyone I know working in computerized equities trading is a "vote blue no matter who" democrat, but I'm not sure how these r-slurs are making the connection between scalping gaming hardware and electronic equities trading to begin with.
I honestly hope some insane legislation gets passed that bans market making just so I can watch r-slurs place market orders on a giant bid-ask spread and complain about it on r/robinhood.

To be fair a lot of computerized equity trading is bullshit rent seeking that doesn't even participate in price discovery. At least scalpers improve distribution by raising the price of goods to the actual clearing rate instead of just making sure everyone's market order are a slightly worse deal.
