I've tried to be too obvious. To the point that carp even made a post here calling me out for being r-slurred (true!). It doesn't matter. People want to believe

You can say the most obvious r-slurred bait but if you do it in a friendly "lemme educate you/you educate me friend" type of way you'll almost always get a bite. Some people seem to think sperging out and calling cows names right at 1st works but you subtly do that when you start replying to them in a friendly condescending way.

I’ve also found that if you accidentally went too obvious and people are onto you that often just responding to an accusation with the exasperated-nothingness of “oh COME ON. What am I even supposed to say to this?” will get it back on track.
