I'm no fan of Saddam... But do you really believe that horseshit pre-text we used to invade? Sure he's using chemical weapons on the Kurds... so what? Do we intervene in every Humanitarian crisis around the globe? We had no reason to go there in the first place (besides on behalf of Israel) and we used some horseshit chemical weapons thing to give justification....
The same strategy was used with Assad. The Obama admin at the time was itching for war in Syria and using the same excuse, that he gassed his own people. Turned out that whole thing was BULLSHIT. Now go read the clean break memo. Besides Sadam and Iraq you might see Syria shortly after.
