Actually sort of true, since BPD patients tend to be drawn towards insufferable narcissists with giant egos.

Everyone ITT is calling this dude a doormat without realizing that this is the type of shit that NPD moids say to get BPD broads wrapped around their finger. Note how vague and generic those statements are, they don't talk about specific actions because to the NPD and BPD individual identity is what really matter.

I'm telling you that an individual who says statements like this is most likely consciously or unconsciously looking to take advantage of their BPD partner.

Its quite interesting since narcissists will never ever claim they have or suffer from narcissism (except everyone in their life is a narcissist) yet bpd foids will readily admit they have a condition that makes them terrible

IMO it's cause NPDs have a strong identity they want to project, which usually doesn't include being a narcissist (a negative thing in their and most people's view). BPDs on the other hand are looking for identities to adopt, and the idea of being someone suffering from a disease that was no fault of their own is easy to accept. In fact it gives them a sense of uniqueness from the normies, where they go through sufferings that the regular people could never understand: "They're just afraid of being abandoned. They just love other people too much!" Taken to an extreme they can come to the conclusion that the normies are the problem.

However there are definitely BPDs that are aware that the BPD label has a stigma so they've been trying to push back on it.
