[๐Ÿค“๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ”˜๐Ÿ”˜๐Ÿ”˜] Isn't it crazy that tipped workers always complain about being stiffed like โ€œI don't work for freeโ€. Ummm, do you darn job lmao or find another one then if you're unhappy

โ€œDo a diff jobโ€ would apply to any complaint in any job ever. Soโ€ฆno one can complain at all about any treatment in their workplace according to your logic..? (-10)

Basedness: ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”˜๐Ÿ”˜

Why? It's optional. (10)

It's optional to make sure you get your food on time also. (-14)

Basedness: ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”˜๐Ÿ”˜

Not getting tips isn't bad treatment lol it means people don't wanna give out free money after they've paid for the terrible price of food these days. Not everyone is rich and privileged enough to hand out money to people who do a good job. (15)

You should keep your poor butt at home then. (-13)

I love that nearly all the comments on /r/tipping are just rehashed circle jerking blah blah "get a real job".I would suggest you get a life as the vast majority of you are just repeating the same shit for each other. The people you are complaining about don't really give zero fricks what you say and the few times you manage to rage bait them you get sooooo happy.Seriously. Find a fricking hobby. (-7)

You mean find a fricking personality. If you're on here to circle jerk about how much you hate tipping you're just a broke butt loser with an inferiority complex you take out on service workers anyway... These people aren't just bad tippers, they're bad people and they know it. (-9)

Angriness: ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ”˜

If you dont have money to tip, don't use the service of tipped employees. Go eat at a counter service restaurant. Find a restaurant that has a no-tipping policy. Or save money by eating out less (-9)

I'm so confused. It's the customers responsibility to pay you or is it your employers responsibility? What kind of argument is this? Customers pay a marked price, your job is to serve. Either the business needs to raise that marked price and pay employees market rate or YOU can always quit. The idea that customers should just use other services because they don't want to pay a tip that is inherently an OPTIONAL gratuity is laughable. The worst is most of hypocrites, how many of yall tip your uber drivers? What about the cashiers? You think they make livable wages? (8)

Angriness: ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ”˜

I am free to eat wherever I want and to tip or not tip whenever and wherever I want. It is not mandatory to tip ! What don't you understand about this? It's actually โ€œpretty simpleโ€ as you say, or as you are. That's not entitlement, that's freedom. (2)

And you're also free to keep your opinion to yourself. You didn't, so you were responded to. Freedom isn't free snowflake...But if you hate tipping to the point you want to see it eradicated, the only way to do that is to vote with your dollars and take your business elsewhere. Continuing to prop up an industry that relies on tipping for businesses to be profitable while complaining about it is akin to shooting yourself in the foot over and over again while complaining that your foot hurts. You're free to do that, but in reality you're just as much a part of the problem you complaining about if you don't change your behavior. Not tipping won't make tipping go away, silly goose. Money talks. Circle jerking on Reddit about it is just pathetic and changes nothing. Be the change you want to see, kitten... (-1)

Dramatards need to get on the tipping bait. These random redditors have gotten more sneed in the past month then we have in the past 2 years

Ive done it once

Actually twice

Here I ask why 10% is a bad tip

It's fun but gets kinda boring after a while since most Redditors only have 3 responses to it

I'd rather pickup the food myself than pay someone $30 for carrying it a couple of steps

Okay then become one of those weird weekly meal prep people.

Sometimes adults like going to restaurants.

I'm fine with restaurants. I don't live in r-slurland where people tip absurd amounts for walking around

I only tip people I would frick. Sorry those are my tipping rules and I don't want people to be lead on by errant generosity.

At Vietnamese coffee shops, you pay for an $8 coffee if you tip well they'll touch your peepee.

These waiters and waitresses at real restaurants dont touch your peepee ever.

These $2.90 an hour nerds don't deserve tips :marseyindignant:

They actually get minimum wage, you don't have to feel bad about tipping

8$ is like over 200.000 VND, like, shit, of course they would touch your peepee.

I gotta see a breakdown of the math to be sure, but I'm pretty sure with all of the people involved in getting a meal on a guest's plate, the server on average gets the largest percentage of what is ultimately paid. A server at a relatively busy restaurant makes more than construction workers simply for bringing a fricking plate to a table.

I love how replies in these threads never mention anything about the comments above. This post can just be blank with the title and URL and we'll just rant about the said topic.

Tbf the reddit comments are all very generic and we could fill in the blanks without them being listed

I don't get why people get so mad about tipping. You pay $20 for your food and you pay a measly $4 on top of that to ensure that next time you come to the restaurant, your food will not get spit on.

Is $4 really so much to ask for the favor of serving you un-spit-on food?

At the restaurant? Sure.

I'm not tipping some single mother before I know if she'll be an hour late and leave my food on the sidewalk.
