My father's healthcare is done as a "you pay out of pocket" and then the insurance group reimburses you.

He's getting an MRI done for $500 today. That's an 85% discount off of insurance prices. Plus he doesn't have to let insurance dictate what they will and won't cover.

Pretty much how private insurance works here in Krautland.

But since Burgers are all privately insured it's a tad different there, which is why I just always said I'm self pay.
