Someone complained about my yard again and TWO bylaw officers showed up to investigate, front yard and back. They told me the yard and lot maintenance bylaw applies to grass and weeds over 8 inches. Yeah imagine putting forth extra effort to make your yard lame and gay. I threw thousands of wildflower seeds on the ground in the fall, and a shitload sprouted this spring. I refuse to mow that area, and now I have a 600 square foot zone that's like a native prairie biome with all kinds of critters. One time a gang of crows surrounded it to yell at a bunny. I got bees and butterflies goin BUCK WILD. I just hope my neighbors don't start bitching.
