In particular, he was asked "why do you feel confident in VP Harris" and his response was basically "if I wasn't confident in her I wouldn't have picked her". He was asked what his plan was to pry China away from Russia and he basically said stuff that they were already doing, without really acknowledging that they have a long way to go. He was asked if he was concerned about declining more as he continues to get older and he spent the whole time trying to deny that he had declined at all without addressing the actual future part. Those three justices are going to be there for the next 30 years, and his next 3-4 picks will solidify the Court even more. Some presidents dream about getting to nominate just one or two justices. That alone is worth it, at least for me, but I am a fairly conservative lawstrag so I'm biased.
