The fact Baldwin didn't make sure his gun was safe was ultimately HIS failure. You are ALWAYS expected to make your gun safe every time you touch it. Being an actor doesn't exempt him from that. That is the standard applied to literally everyone who touches a gun.
Baldwin was negligent and someone died.
