Honestly that is hilarious OP. The two branching paths are literally just for an achievement, it makes no difference which you take, you don't even need to enter the forest and if you do, going through the forest takes maybe 30 seconds? A minute tops. This is the equivalent of booting up Mario Bros, seeing the first jump and thinking "geez that looks like a lot of hassle..." and quitting. (3903)

Not really immediately but I finished the story in Diablo 4 and felt no desire to keep going. The story was pretty good better than the prequels. But man that end game on release was abysmal. It killed my interest in the game and Diablo has always been about end game grind so I feel it counts. (-1)

I'm sorry but this had me do a double take. Diablo 4's story was a mess. The whole thing can be summed up as "Chase villain to location A. Get told that she isn't here and you should go to B" rinse and repeat until the game is over.It was mario levels of "the princess is in another castle".Don't even get me started on the absolute dumb shit the main cast does. MOTHERLOVER WHY NOT USE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!<JUST STAB HIM YOU IDIOT!<Seriously the game was rife with stupid shit like that. (1)

Alan Wake. Thankfully, this was a "free" game from a GameStop promo, but I immediately stopped playing the game after a Duracell commercial played. Frick this shit.Alien Isolation. Made it to the room where I was supposed to find a card on a dead doctor. I'm no fan of crap AI in games and this one is bad. Side note: turns out, I'm not the only one who quit the game on this level. Based on achievements and comments, many left the game at this level. Gee, wonder why. /sFoamstars. Thinking this would be a different take on Splatoon, boy was I wrong. After the tutorial was over, the game vomits all over the player with the most atrocious microtransaction and prices I had ever seen in a game. (1)

First descendant. Idk how people are playing this garbage. It's diet warfram / destiny. The voice acting is god awful, the lighting is awful everything looks all washed out no matter what you do. The gameplay is mid. Again, diet warframe/ destiny. Micro transactions that again are even WORSE than warframe and destiny.On top of that the game is piss easy and made for fricking babies. All challenge comes from fricking stat bloat on enemies which still isn't hard because the mechanics are shit. Anything outside of the "crazy hard" difficulties are like fighting ants that can't even hurt you.Oh and to top it off it has that generic garbage butt "chosen one" story line shit. Fricking hate that trope. This game is peak garbage. (2)

Replayed the first one and finally played the second one about a year ago. What the FRICK did they do to the movement especially the gigantic, slow jump

Rockstar slop, was supposed to be an open world riot/anarchy simulator and was hyped for months. Turned out to be a tiny, boring on rails game

State of emergency was bad, but was not on rails. Each stage was an open design where the player created chaos with weapons and powerups. It was ambitious at the time for the amount of NPCs on screen at one time.

Tech limitations of the time regarding the models. Agree about the stages feeling claustrophobic. Rockstar was trying something new- there really aren't too many other games like it. Cant blame them for that. We dont get stuff like that anymore.

Absolutely. It's just that they had such a slam dunk with Vice City (I cant remember if SoE was before or after San Andreas) and despite the map being small Vice City felt incredibly open and full.

The hype around SoE was intense and we all fully expected a game with a city that felt like GTA. The levels and gameplay felt phoned in though
