Are you talking about heirloom tomatoes?

Yes i know you can buy them in stores but "heirloom" refers to more than 1 varietal. These shits Im talking about were larger than practically any "heirloom" ive seen in stores and had to be sold fresh they wouldnt last in a supermarket.

Not to mention hundreds of apple , cherries, berries, melon, and veggie varieties, you dont see in stores. This is not from my experience shopping at a farmer market but working at a farm that sold at many farmer markets and and they certainly didn't buy from grocery stores

idk, heirlooms are based on the time of year. I've seen giant fresh ones in stores.

Most stores don't carry a large variety of x item because nobody really buys it.

they dont carry the items because they don't store well. people like variety and will buy it. but i understand that farmers markets will always be somewhat niche, but presented with the option people do like to try new things.

Farmers' market tomatoes are better because they aren't picked green and ripened with gas.

I am 10000% of the time against gas ripening. I've had tomatoes that were picked green and were then gas ripened. They were very sad and did not taste like tomatoes at all. :marseydepressed:
