Absolutely, though if you can't make it through season one don't worry too much about dropping it. It's a real slow burner that requires a lot of attention, and I can't deny it gets a little cheesy too. The payoffs are worth it to me, but it is a lot of investment.

It's fricking shit? It asks a lot of questions without answering any of them. The characters are bizarre and don't react to things like actual people. It's not the worst show on TV but X-files is one of the best.

I also like LOST, especially seasons 1, 2, and 4. The Dharma Initiative time travel arc is underrated by the fanbase.

So true on the time travel arc, season 4 was my favorite on first watch. Seasons 5 and 6 were definitely messy but still great television. It's woefully underrated and misunderstood.
