@pizzashill I fricking told you so. Go read that thread where you were like, "I'm all-in on NVDA," and you'll find me telling you you are not smarter than every Wall Street analyst. I might have even linked you this.

I have to respect you for posting this loss porn, but eat your humble pie and I'm going to remind you of this the next time you get all smug about ignoring me for being a foid. :marseytwerking:

I don't think it's gambling lol. people told me that when I went all in on amazon at 84 or 85 a share. my entire worldview is market is completely r-slurred post covid and nothing matters.

like in what world does amazon stay at 84 a share? in what world does nvidia not go back up?

The only one I agree was gambling was TSM, but that one was completely r-slurred because I was right - they crushed earnings, they just collapsed anyway.

Its true that not literally every one of the 5-6k stocks :marseyklennysuit: listed in the US have an army of analysts tied to them, but (a) NVDA does and (b) I know youre not actually :marseyakshually: doing literally any real financial research here, ie, and reading :marseyhijab: through literally all their financial filings and reading :marseyhijab: through as many details of the market  as you can, and Youre like just investing in NVDA for the vibes, and Its gambling *sips tea*

NVDA Jan 16, 2026 $80 Puts

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17220781245461195.webp

It's my insurance hedging my SPY, picked up 5 when price hit 140 lol. If it goes to zero by expiration that's fine since cost basis is a fraction of my portfolio. But if NVDA ends the year at being up 50% for 2024 (price target of $74), then I can expect a 170% return on the puts in January even with theta decay.

Idk what it means to poos, but in america you sell your stocks for a loss so that you can claim the loss on your taxes, then rebuy and hold.

It's a nice cope play but the feds have rules about how long you have to wait to rebuy, so it's risky.

Reducing your taxable income is maximum ROI for six figurecels, though, since you're paying at least 25% of it every year

Why does it feel like everyone around me either has no savings, or everyone invests in individual stocks, or crypto.

In a sane America, it would look like this:

10% invests in slot machines, or amphetamines

89% buys the whole market (which is what I do)

1% buys GTAT or FrickCoin

But in reality, it feels like:

10% Slots

10& S%P 500

100% Wallstreetbets

I have multiple accounts. 401k is in a target date fund, backdoor Roth IRA is a 3-fund portfolio, and my individual account is all individual stock picking and some bitcoin.

Stock picking has worked very well for me since I don't day trade like an r-slur, but I still have my more conservative accounts for when the market reminds me I'm an r-slur.

I moved everything out of target date funds like 2 years ago after I looked through their expense ratios and put everything into an S&P500 vanguard index. Can't believe how much some of them fleece people that are 40 years from retirement for a fund that doesn't need bond exposure for the next 20 years

I mentioned to you earlier that shit's not looking nearly as good for the market as it would appear superficially. This is just a warning tremor, there will be a recovery and some money to make through the rest of the year, but I'm betting on a really awful bear market starting early next year.
