In that povertyfinance thread, the stupid poors think you need to make at least 100k/year to not live like a hobo. In 90% of the country, a family of four can own a small house and live "middle class" on 100k/year.

BUT I NEED HUSTLE N BUSTLE :soycry:

You know what? Frick Arcade Fire for getting a generation to pretend that growing up well-fed in safe neighborhoods with good schools was some kind of "trauma."

you can certainly live

like we continue to live, on this nice property . my prents always made much less than tht

but I could never buy this bigass property like my mom was able to do working a normal butt job 30 years ago, before getting married

i'd literally have to be a millionaire :platyrich:

I think house/land prices might eventually become manageable again, but it would require the deportation of millions.

until then I'm living with them. god forbid I ever become a rentoid. (unless its in :marseyflagalaska:) I'll just build another house on this property

You can still get a decent property. You just have to move. The population has grown since your mom bought your place. People bought all of the land where you are.

For a normal middle class life, you could find a small town a little past the suburbs with a 4-lane highway nearby. There, you can buy a normal 150k house on a normal third of an acre lot and give your kids a safe and comfortable semi-suburban/semi-rural life. Like, even full time Walmart cashiers, Pizza Hut workers, and CNAs can start families in a decent family home if they don't spend like r-slurs. Bonus: there's likely an active outdoors scene in the area. Short drives to hunting, fishing, hiking, gun clubs, golf courses, etc. while you can still make a short drive in the other direction for higher-paying jobs and more shopping/indoor entertainment if that's your thing.

Similarly, you can go near some farm town with an interstate exit and buy ~3 partially-wooded acres with an old trailer on a gravel road complete with a well and septic tank for 150k. You'll just have to drive ten miles to buy anything you can't get from the Dollar General or Casey's. But hey, you can shoot guns and ride a dirt bike in your back yard. :marseyshrug:

Become a man and buy property in Alaska then. Water is free, food costs are heavily mitigated by subsistence, jobs almost all pay more. You're choosing to live with your parents because you're a cuck.
