I think people are confused by the Greek representation of the piece. I don't think it was pulling on the Italian last supper at all.

Someone more cultured than me explain what Greek work she is talking about.

That's because they made up the Dionysus thing due to the controversy. The writer stated that the performance is a reference to/modeled after the Last Supper. One of the drag queens also called this performance "The Gay New Testament". Also, the Olympics performance resembles the Last Supper much closer than any depictions of the Festival of Dionysus.
