For many girls it is a reasponse the natural differences between men and women that manifest during puberty, regardless of how men have treated her in the past. Many girls who don't have a good network of women to guide them through the process see the changes a wholly unfair; The boys get taller and stronger but they stay small and weak, boys don't menstrate but now they have painful cramps and bleeding every month, etc. etc.
And often the natural dynamics of s*x/dating scare these girls. Most learn to navigate the new experience of being pursued and grow to enjoy this dynamic. But many who, as stated before, don't have good female role models, never learn to adjust to these changes and begin to think they can just avoid the whole thing by becoming a boy. It's the equivelent of flipping the table when you think you're going to lose. But they're not actually losing, just learning to play a new game. It's an immature response brought on by social atomization that stunts girls development into women. I know we usually talk about boys being atomized, but it's effecting girls too.
For many boys it stems from autism and/or poor social development. I think this topic has been discussed to death so I won't rehash it all but in short many boys are trying to ditch their old, embarassing, purposeless, terminally awkward life and acquire the social value and privledges that come with being female.
S*x pests certainly are a vector but it's important to understand that the phenomenon is multifaceted and complex which is something the
activists rely on to obfuscate the underlying factors and trick many normies into tolerating their nonsense.
