Man what the frick lol. It's so ironic that conservatives now love hip hop, a genre that was all about calling attention to race-based discrimination and other forms of inequality

Why are modern libs like this? Hip hop started as party jams, about having fun. And it's not like Eazy E and shit weren't 'calling attention to inequality', it's original target audience were the people experiencing the same shit as themselves not getting a message to suburban whites. It also wasn't a deliberate attempt to call attention to anything, it was just a reflection of life for them.

They also say you have to be leftist to listen to techno because it was founded on left wing political movements. But it was actually invented by three negros who liked Kraftwerk and wanted to make beep boop music.

I never hear black people listening to the "smart" rap. They always listen to pop, so the idea they use it for political shit is funny.

A Kendrick concert is probably as white as a Taylor Swift concert.

It's the same mindset that tells them Rugrats was a deep and horrific psychoanalysis of the modern family instead of a kids show about babies. Everything they enjoy or had enjoyed in the past needs to be a higher form of art and nothing can be taken at face value lest they admit they interests and hobbies are as vapid as everything else in their life.

Media literacy morons still don't understand the difference between art having political elements vs political art. The former is something natural, like for hip-hop which is rooted in black culture. The latter is much more specific and exists in songs that directly refers political figures and movements. Trying to pretend all art is political art doesn't make elevate art thanks to increased political relevance, it just makes degrades politics by making it more superficial.
