Users do not read everyone pings.
The claim that users need to be reminded to include links with screenshots is mostly false, as every image uploaded automatically includes a link to itself.
He may have been referring to including a link to the source of the content in the screenshot, but this is his own interpretation of the vague rules and poses a similar issue to 2A arguments.

I think it's doubleplus polite to put the screenshot as the URL so you can view it from the main feed without going into the comment section, but then having the real link in the body.
It's how we provide equity and inclusion and accessibility to our Lurkers.
