Users do not read everyone pings.

The claim that users need to be reminded to include links with screenshots is mostly false, as every image uploaded automatically includes a link to itself.

He may have been referring to including a link to the source of the content in the screenshot, but this is his own interpretation of the vague rules and poses a similar issue to 2A arguments.

I don't see a point to separating links and screenshots, the same way there's no point in separating ping groups and post notifications. If ping group and post notifications were separated, then maybe I would have been more inclined to understand your point of view.
