Just not that "energy crossbow" that Chewbaca had. That was going too far. A little bit lame.
But if you want to see more real crossbows, maybe in Redactor's Darklands LP he'll upgrade from a standard crossbow to an arbalest. There's tradeoffs, but if we're going to hit the Fortress Monastery we'll be dealing with a lot of heavy armor.

It's a quiet small caliber rimfire gun and they do make a special short-barrel version of it for use with a suppressor, but that isn't one of them. It would be good for subsonic ammunition in case it didn't cycle because of that easy-to-work charging handle on the back. Seems like it'd be good for keeping quiet and skulking about, but I dunno. I've never shot one of these and I've never assassinated anyone.
But the guy also had a crossbow and rang a very obvious video doorbell with flashing blue lights. I don't think anything about this was thought through.
