Old school oligarchs knew that the point of being rich was too frick the poor neighbors kid while paying the anti-libertarian charity too punish poor people for it while supplying you with every 10th child, and coming on stage every year too declare how much you agreed with whatever the poor people believed.
Modern oligarchs want the world too believe in what they say and believe, instead of pretending too believe whatever poor people believe too stay in power and excuse ones own excesses.
