If they dont control student selection, where they get to start schools and grading it could work. Not sure any significant amount of people would be interested by this but that seems fine to me. It would be mostly a return to the previous order with a few smaller idea based schools like Montessori and things like Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser.

Grading being taken away from teachers needs to happen anyway, too many perverse incentives.

how long have you had them? all immature markets are full of failures and shitty run companies, then the bad ones die off. Lessons learned, capital congregates into the talent, the good employees rise up in the companies, etc. Usually takes at least 5-7yrs

The Swedish school voucher system has existed for 32 years. Even though the percentage of students who chose independent schools, especially in upper secondary school, is high, 31.23% (2022/23). Despite this, independent schools have not been established in all the country's municipalities; competition is, therefore, still relatively limited.
