I downloaded five years of H-1B data from the US DOL website (4M+ records) and spent the day crunching data.
I went into this with an open mind, but, to be honest, I'm now *extremely* skeptical of how this program works.

Honestly this is a pretty bad look, I didn't realize it was 10x over the statuatory limit. Also wild (but not that surprising) that it's Indian consulting firms abusing it the most to bring their friends and families over.

I think those are just the approved applications and the amount of visas granted is equal to the limit of 85k

The firms are getting crazy rich on it while exploiting both sides.
First they go to the employer and say how much will you pay. The employer says 120k. So the recruiter finds someone who can marginally fool the employer and pay them 20-30/hr. This is an amazing wage for a poo living 8 to a bedroom sending all their money back to India where 20-30 hr US is fricking crazy money

@Jared_Taylor know in Anglo countries they do the same for brown "qualified" tradesmen. The consultancy firm fleeces them until they're earning below minimum wage.
Until you go into certain factories you don't realize how many are actually here. It's like excavating a massive anthill when you're digging in you're garden, it just goes on and on.

My friend got his H1B working for a company that is a bunch of indian guys who sell fake security software to other companies and I get my H1B for getting my butt blown out by big white peepees
