Absolutely not overreacting and it's unfortunate they aren't taking your concerns and safety more seriously especially for a 30y friendship. I'm so sorry πŸ«‚

I'm sorry. You're not overreacting.

It seems like you and your friend have grown apart. Based on your comments, even if you did meet up with them in person, they've shown you over and over that they'll lie about their exposure and symptoms and put you at risk.

I'm sorry about their message. Their message is incredibly manipulative, selfish, unreasonable, uncaring, and ableist to boot. That's not a true friend (unfortunately, turns out, like most humans).

"It's perfectly normal to frick toasters."

:#marseyfoidretardtalking:

/u/SangieMuyoh since obviously Redditors are brain damaged morons and lack the ability to tell you: your behavior is not normal and you are acting unreasonable and crazy. Throwing away a 30+ year relationship because of your Covid hysteria is not normal behavior. Going outside is not going to kill you. Stop seeking reinforcement from people suffering from the same delusions as you.

"She insists she takes "a lot" of precautions: vaccinates yearly, only gets takeout, and only hangs out with a small group of people. But she was asking me to meet her and her family at a restaurant for her birthday, wanted to get pedicures a week before a family member's surgery, attends football games because her family has season tickets, and works in an office every day."
