No clear data how much cartige manufacturing was. But there was someone saying it was $5 and nintendo didnt refute it. That is belived to be ballpark. But $5 was probably at start of lifespan. And eventually went down.

GTA6 online can launch as f2p and it earns more money than any game of the year it released with micro transactions and shit.

Street fighter 2 cost like 80 buxx back then but box cartridge cost shit ton and total sales of the game were a lot less than today. Today SF6 sold at 60 buxx digitally and sold 12 millions copies + dlc so it makes way more money than sf2

1. G*mers will take whatever slop ypu sell them. If Nintendo started charging $99 per copy of Mario Super Bounce House Remastered for the Switch 2 everyone would love it.

2. Even if game prices doubled the cost per hour of entertainment is bar none the cheapest. If the average person just plays the single player and fricks around in multiplayer for a few hours, they probably play GTA for ~20 hours. $60/20 = $3 an hour. Even the weird showtimes at discount movie theaters are more than $6 a ticket. A pint at a bar is like $6 if it's a mass market, more if it's craft. $100/20 = $5 an hour, still cheap. Parents will get pissed two new games at Christmas for their son is $200 instead of $120 but everyone over the age of 15 will just suck it up and pay higher prices.

It is kind of weird how much people hand wring about the cost of gaming or tech as a "hobby". Car guys don't blink at dropping $1k on some obscure part but tech guys will call you a cuck for spending $2k every five years on a device that runs your digital life or $70 on a video game you can play for tens of hours.

I don't like how she mogs the guy. Game devs should grow a pair, if they want to make a female protagonist then do it but then they get afraid and drop another protagonist a boring guy. Butt odyssey had same problem

You could just choose not to play as Alexios and then he'd only show up as a pantomime villain. Honestly, the moid protagonist voice acting in that game was so bad compared to the foid that I cannot imagine ever playing thru that long-butt game as him.
