Anyway remittances from the US account for 3% of Colombia's GDP so a single deportation flight is pretty devastating to their national economy. And the threats worked immediately
So we are thankfully not going to be deprived of all the many things Colombia exports here. I don't know what those things are besides coffee and cocaine but X (formerly Twitter) informs me it's a lot and very important. Crisis averted.

On behalf of the Colombians may I present my two state solution?
The clombians arrived as refugees. We are sending them back. Their governments is not very keen to have these hardworking individuals back. But they have an extradition treaty with us. So the DEA can work with the colombian government to cook the books. Name all the deportees as cartel members. Deportation and extradition cancel out. The refugees go to a minimal security work camp. Picking fruits in California could be an option on the table.
