The uyghyr drama is bizarre because it's just so fricking far out of scope from pretty much any other modern race conflict but still not a full blown war like muz v. jew or east yurop or every war in africa.
They had a series of race riots around 2010 with a death toll estimated from like 150-500 and meanwhile in America we're pearl clutching over ones from 100 years ago where 8 people died.
And like what do you even do as a state after that? Just fricking separate? Let alone trying to cover up how you're attempting to forcibly integrate them by breaking up their culture with boarding schools and whatnot (which I don't actually view that poorly compared to alternatives). But it's weird how people don't do any research into how it got this bad and don't try to discuss it. Anyways, China will never improve because they can't even discuss their problems and are doomed to their gov shooting any private or public progress in the foot and knee.
