Any media at all. Images, videos, gifs ect. Each site got it's own little sub scraper that parsed the html/js of the page and found all the links to content.

Let me tell you parsing javascript on any level with regex is heck.

I worked at an ISP about 20 years ago and got those emails and phone calls from time to time. Sometimes customers did illegal shit on the internet. :marseyshrug: But the response was always "we can't give you anything without a warrant." Honestly, some of them were also probably people phishing for customers' personal info anyway.
