There's probably drama here
Thanks for asking! The original Jake did great at delivering his famous line, βuhβ¦khakis.β However, this expanded role is very demanding and is best filled by a professional actor. ~LM

but it's just so surreal that they responded that I'm content to leave it at this

I mean I'm annoyed at how many ad characters have to be various diverse races and I'm not even a chud. And you can't really express that because it's not really any given ad at fault. Like it makes sense that bipocs would be in some ads, so every company that puts out an ad with a bipoc in it can be like "we deserve to have this bipoc, all those other companies should be filling the mayo quota" even though none of them ever do. Its only in an instance where they race swap the ad character that you can be like "See! They really are deliberately putting in more bipocs then are necessary!" Except honestly you can't even there, because they could be like "what? we chose a black actor? We are so colorblind (except not in a racist way) that we didn't even notice
". Which is basically what they do here. They don't address why he's black at all, even though that was the question. They just answer that they had to swap him out because the old one wasn't a professional actor or whatever.
