Context: The guy from h3h3 recently posted his first video in three years attacking his former friend and cohost socialist streamer Hasan Piker. Did I watch it or care? Frick no. I don't really know what the video says but I came across this post where some other streamer points out how the video uses a doctored image from the Destiny subreddit to make a (false) point.
Anyways, the pinned comment I linked is this:
The clip in the post makes no mention of the word cracker, so on top of being aggravating janny "I'm serious" speak it is totally random. The replies to this comment point this out:
Calling someone a cracker isn't racist, but cracker is a racist slur. Or vice versa? It doesn't make sense.
Some people point out how the jannies of this subreddit b-word about flame wars but then pin shit like this which seems to exist purely to cause flame wars.
The janny double-downs and gets showered with downkongs in response.
It's not okay to call someone Ritz instead of cracker because that is racist dog-whistling and just as offensive as saying cracker.
Someone mentions how they're leaving the subreddit and the janny responds cattily. Users point out how the janny felt the need to pin their thoughts on the word cracker when it wasn't asked.
Most of the replies look like this.
The janny says they are a social scientist working in race relations.
"I'm literally getting my PhD in this field. If you want proof, read literally the top most suggested and read book on racial relations printed in the 21st century."
Not white? Could have fooled me...
TL;DR: shut up, cracker

This has been a bugbear of mine for over a decade. The absolutely insane attempts to redefine racism/what a slur is based on some social science drivel.
Not only because words are not defined based on what the social sciences declare true, but how they're used in every day conversation and a shared agreement over what they mean - 99.9% of the population will tell you that cracker is very clearly a racial slur, it is by every actual definition of these words a racial slur.
But the bugbear part comes in when you consider why the wokies are willing to die on an r-slured, unpopular hill like this. because it relates to their profound misunderstanding of how oppression even works. In the woketard world, oppression, systemic or otherwise doesn't exist on multiple levels, but is a zero sum game in which if they ever admit some demographic they view as "privileged" has a problem or can experience oppression it means the protected demographics are somehow less oppressed or not oppressed at all.
Power and oppression can exist on numerous levels - if you're some white guy in a 98% black county where almost every cop is black and every elected official is black, how does it make sense to declare they can't be racist towards you because racism is "power+privilege" or whatever.
this topic is literally what turned me into an anti-sjw back in 2012 or so, before it was even popular. it's just such a fallacious and absurd worldview that one can only accept it if they're completely enthralled by ideology. So enthralled you've decided the very mechanics of language no longer exist.
