I get it people don't like Trudeau but to side with someone who is literally trying to destroy your country is wild.

I didn't realise Trump did this? :marseyconfused:

As an American, I'm so sorry that our idiotic country voted for this guy.

:marseybegging: please love me

So do something about it :gigachad2:

Mass protests in all 50 states are planned for February 5th.

:marse#ysal: mass protests huh?

How insane must somebody be to support a foreign politician (which is kinda weird by itself, I don't walk around with hats of foreign politicians ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ)

:marseysmug3: Uh, yeah almost like Canada is just an American state at this point, huh? Someone :marseytrump: should do something about that...

Woa there buddy, don't go getting all patriotic on unceded land. According to its leader, Canada is a post-national state with no core identity, after all.

:chudsmug#: :chudglassesglo#w: chuds are so fricking boring

If you support the leader of a nation who openly declares war on our country and constantly talks about annexing us, you're a fricking traitor. :marseydisagree:

He declared WAR? No way. Do you have a link to anything saying that? :marseycatbert2:

Not all wars are fought with sticks

Nowadays they're fought with :marseytunaktunakinvasion: !

By the way, THE ENTIRE SUBREDDIT is just a huge struggle session about DJT. :marseytrump: :soysnooseethe: There's more seethe here than I know what to do with.

All I can see is a people ripe for conquering. Demoralised and impotent, the Canadian nation has jeeted itself into irrelevance. :marseytunaktunak: !leafs weigh in

The BC Liquor board (govt run booze shops) just pulled all red state produced liquor and I saw a comment from a fellow :marseycanada: say they hope some red stater's small business goes under as a resulted, I wasn't aware international liquor sales were the domain of small businesses :marseynails:

This whole thing is a mess, and its the most limp wristed performative nonsense I've seen in a long time

As others have said, to see the very same people who've trashed nationalism for a decade flock to it shamelessly and to use it as a cudgel against anyone who disagrees with the LPC party line is sickening

The wall to wall seethe in CAN subs is pretty funny, if a little repetitve

Dramacoin is up  bigly

Premier of Ontario did the same. The Ontario liquor control board is the single largest purchaser of alcohol in the world and buys over $1 bln of American booze a year. Starting Tuesday all American booze will be off the shelf.

Canada is the single largest purchaser of US made goods and buys about 20% of everything the USA makes - we buy more than the next 3-4 USA trade partners combined. We also produce a huge amount of auto parts here and have since like the 60s. The North East USA relies on our electricity we produce via hydro electric plants in Ontario and Quebec along with gasoline produced with Alberta oil.

At the end of the day both USA and Canada will take a hit from this if it goes on long enough, it's not going to help inflation or GDP and I forsee the biggest winner coming out of this will be China who will flood our markets with alternative goods and strike a deal to secure Canadian oil that they've wanted for a long time.

The US is the 2nd largest manufacturer in the world. Unless there are hefty accounting shenanigans, I find it hard to believe that a country with 10% of our population buys 20% of everything we make.

Why would I lie?

The United States is the 2nd largest goods exporter in the world, behind only China. U.S. goods exports to the world totaled $2.1 trillion in 2022, up 17.5 percent ($307.3 billion) from 2021. Canada was the largest purchaser of U.S. goods exports in 2022, accounting for 17.3 percent of total U.S. goods exports. The top five purchasers of U.S. goods exports in 2022 were: Canada ($356.5 billion), Mexico ($324.3 billion), China ($150.4 billion), Japan ($80.2 billion), and the United Kingdom ($76.2 billion). U.S. goods exports to the European Union 27 were $350.8 billion.

We buy 2x as much of your shit as China does despite having 0.04% of their population because we're cool and good neighbours.

I know it's probably "legal" in every sense of the word but taking action that specifically targets only voters of a specific candidate should be considered foreign interference to the same level that Russian troll farms or whatever are.

The severity of that claim of course, is left as an exercise to the reader

It just goes to show how much America is rent-free in their heads. When we put sanctions on Russia or the Congo or wherever, do we have any idea of the election results? We wouldn't care even if we did.
