I know that there were a death sentence for homosexuality back then. So I pretend that my Henry just doesn't allow his inner gay to posses over his christian soul. He'd love to bang sir Hans but he can't since he is a lord and he will be punished too. Henry don't want to harm Hans so he keeps his feelings locked.
I wish they add a forbidden romance in the game though. Just one scene where Henry says everything to Hans. He feels the same way but they both know that they can't let this happen. I'd be happy with that.

To be honest, I have a low tolerance for games without gay options nowadays. If there's zero romance, then sure. But I don't really want to spend dozens of hours following the story of rugged straight guy who has many sexual and romantic encounters with women. There are some exceptions, of course.
