hmmm okay i agree that there's a distinction between an average joe opining vs. an openly paid representative of a media company

but i think you need to concede that there's a difference between a political party secretly boosting an average joe vs. an average joe exploiting a payment model on a website that encourages clicks

because otherwise you'd have to say that any independent youtuber is astroturfed because they always have an incentive to make a video that's more clickbaity vs. their true and honest opinion
