Obama is so disappointing because he really could have fixed America. People gave him a shot, 2008 was the most populist-left moment we had, and a ton of Republicans voted for Obama 1 times and voted straight red after. If he'd cucked the banks and forced them to repackage loans to keep the foreclosures from getting worse, pumped more money into American industry, and just stayed away from the idpol topics, we would have been in such a better position.
Wouldn't be nearly as funny as the situation we found ourselves in lol

I mean, I still consider myself vaguely center-left in that I want universal healthcare to at least be an option, I want the government to protect public land and wild spaces, but I also don't want rampant idpol, open borders, farming out all our industry to China and oppressive bureaucracy so I guess I'm an OmegaChud by today's standards
